Dr. Alejandro Medina Santiago is a researcher at the Department of Computer Science at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics. He holds a Doctor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, where he also earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. He completed his undergraduate studies in Electronics Engineering at the Technological Institute of Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
His research interests include signal processing, cybersecurity, IoT, Industry 4.0, VLSI integrated circuit design, and the development of intelligent systems using deep learning, neural networks, and fuzzy logic. Dr. Medina Santiago is also the founder and sub-director of the Center for Research, Development, and Technological Innovation at the University of Science and Technology Descartes, UNAM.
